Concern about Gnome 3.0
The site LWN.net reports on the sentiments found in the mailing list gnome concluded after his recent conference GUADEC. Apparently, some members of their community clearly felt that the development of Gnome has slowed, that the project lacks vision and that same gnome is threatened with losing their relevance to users (!). Plans for Gnome 3.0 now seem to be detained, pending major decisions for the future.

New site for KDE Utilities
The package kdeutils has been part of the KDE desktop since the early days of KDE 1.0 (but before), despite that, never had its own website within this project. But with the announcement of the new utils.kde.org this injustice is finally remediated.
